Phase 3A Masterplan Layout
The access to the linear public pathway running close to the reservoir will be utilised to allow permeability across the developed space. New landscaping will be incorporated near the reservoir which will connect the existing pathway to the new central avenue which forms part of the whole regeneration scheme.
The redevelopment of the West Hendon estate provides the opportunity to re-establish a clear visual connection between the site and the adjacent reservoir - the Welsh Harp - while respecting it's ecology.

Route to Hendon Station
Pedestrian and cycle links to exisitng road network encourage movement without the need for a car. Green spaces and the enhancement of popular routes to public transport help to make these journeys more pleasurable.
The proximity of rail and bus services means that the site is well connected to other parts of Barnet and central London. This accessibility is considered in the proposed improvements to the route to and from Hendon Station to make it a route ideal for a new high-density residential community.

On-street parking types
It is anticipated that one bed flats are likely to take up a generally low level of parking reflecting the practical option for owners of smaller units to live in this location without owning a car. Suitable parking will be provided for larger units, as well as bicycle storage facilties and charging points for electric vehicles.

Refuse Strategy Diagram
All residents will be required to take their refuse to the basement refuse store. The store has been designed to the London Borough of Barnet Note on Waste Management. A series of euro bins, each with a 1,100 litre capacity will provide segregated waste handling for household, recycling and organic waste. On collection day, Barratt Homes on site management team will collect the euro bins and truck them up to the collection area on West Street. A seperate 'large item' waste storage room has also been provided for the occasions when residents need to have furniture or bulky items removed.
